Vice President of Engineering - $375K + Equity

DCSI is known as being one of the most trusted and respected, global executive search firms in high technology and we are actively sourcing for an entrepreneurial and highly charismatic Vice President of Engineering. This role will be responsible for reshaping a global profitable and solidly performing publicly traded, electronics conglomerate over embedded computing, Flash, SSD, and Wireless applications within the memory sector. Our ideal executive will have built a career in design engineering within the semiconductor industry with larger global companies and has migrated towards start-ups in the same space. We're looking for someone with a keen insight of future product development needs and trends, new markets and applications to pursue. This role will put you in the drivers seat to refocus and supercharge a company while putting your stamp on the future of this outstanding global organization. Our ideal preference will be to have someone live and work in either the Silicon Valley of California or in Taiwan.
REQUIREMENTS: - BSEE degree is required, MSEE is preferred as is other higher education. - 15+ years in the semiconductor industry, or equivalent electronics OEM, supporting all aspects of memory such as Flash, SSD, and Wireless applications and Embedded Computing. - 10+ years of experience in a leadership role as a Director or VP, guiding the strategy of a global engineering team, is required. - You must have an entrepreneurial minded approach and be known as a visionary and for your ability to anticipate and develop future product needs and markets on a global scale. - We are ideally looking for upwardly mobile engineering leaders that have passion and experience and start-up experience. While our client is a well established and respected publicly traded company, this opportunity will be responsible for driving an entrepreneurial spirit within multiple divisions of this conglomerate.
- This position can be located in the Silicon Valley or in Taiwan and exceptional command of the English language as English will be the primary mode of communication.
COMPENSATION: - Realistic first years income which doesn't include equity will be in the $375-400K+ range.
- Base salary range is dependent upon experience - $250-300K is our target range. - Excellent Bonuses available up to 40% of base salary - Outstanding equity component - Excellent long-term benefits and relocation assistance.
