New Business Development Director - REMOTE - West Coast to Midwest
DCSI is now recruiting for a very long-term EMS client/partner of more than 40 years, for a Remotely located Director of New Business Development. This role will enable you to use your background hunting and closing new deals within Industrial, IoT, and Sensor, Telematics sectors in the Western region of the US. Ideally this role would be located almost anywhere from the Upper Midwest to anywhere along the West coast, as the territory will be the Western region. This position is open to replace a long-tenured employee that's retiring and will report directly to the Senior Director of Business Development who reports to the CEO. Your role, as an individual contributor will be to bring technical expertise and a proven track record of winning new business within the above listed vertical markets and average deal sizes should have the ability to become $10-30M in size within a 2-3 time span. This is an outstanding role and one that has a long-term career trajectory for multiple promotional opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree is a must have requirement and a higher education such as an MBA is preferred
- 5+ years New Business Development experience in electronics manufacturing / SMT selling into Industrial accounts like Scientific Instruments, Electric Motion Control & Photonics, Sensors, IoT such as Smart Connectivity, Audio & Appliances are required.
- Proven track record of closing new deals within the $5-10M range with TAM in the $20-30M range over 2-3 years.
- Virtual location that requires you're living and working in the Midwest or Western US.
- This position will be restricted to those with US Citizenship and residency in the US.
COMPENSATION:
- Base salary range is dependent upon experience - $130-160K+.
